Fall and Winter Clothes (all sizes)
Backpacks
Toys
Kitchenwares
We are collecting for two organizations:
Streetwork has once again asked us for our help. Based in Zürich, they help adolescents and young adults between the ages of 14 and 28 who need short-term or long-term support. Each fall they host a free fleamarket for their clients. They are asking for clothes and backpacks for Zürich youth in crisis. They have a special request of mainly men’s clothes (belts, coats and shoes) and backpacks!
Hungary Collection: We have a local volunteer that is very connected to the two organizations in Hungary that are in need of our help. This group is always looking for clothes (adult and children), toys for all ages and kitchenwares. After the collection, she will bring the items to several different facilities for elderly and transitional homes. If you can, look through your closets and if you have clothes, toys or kitchen items that you no longer need, please consider donating them. Please make sure all items are in good, clean, and usable condition.

Zharity is back with a call to fulfill "wishes" from families served by HPF Winterthur, an early childhood program for kids with disabilities. Many of the families HPF serves do not have the resources to easily buy toys and other items for their children. HPF staff pass along family wish lists that we aim to fill through the Zharity network.
Here are details:
What: Legos, Playmobil, Play kitchens, TrippTrapps....you name it. Please see our list of items and sign-up instructions.
When: Until June 15th
Where: Zharity volunteers are offering locations in different parts of the city. Locations for non-contact drop-offs are in Glattpark (Opfikon), Horgen, Hottingen (Zurich). Once you sign up we will give the address that best fits you! If the items are ordered online we can provide the mailing address to have the items shipped directly to the organization.
Just a note of appreciation: After our February collection for HPF we quickly went into lockdown, and couldn't get everything immediately delivered. We later found a way to pass along the donations - via no contact - to HPF offices. I just want to pass along that the staff and families were absolutely thrilled. Your donations of toys, bikes, and clothes were especially meaningful and well-appreciated as they provided a bounty of activities for children and families while staying at home. Many thanks, you all!
