Material Prep for Pad Project & Raffle Highlight

Last week Zharity hosted 2 Material Preparation events to support our Pad Project.  Thanks to our over 20 volunteers that joined us across the 2 days to trace and cut materials for our next set of feminine reusable pads!  Since this program’s inception 2 years ago, Zharity volunteers have cut and sewn over 1000 pads!

At Monday’s event, we had the amazing opportunity to host Kathryn Robinson from Rainbows 4 Children, an organization that Kathryn and her husband founded to create and support a school in Mekele, Ethiopia.  Founded in 2004, the Nicolas Robinson School now teaches over 1500 children.  Not only did Kathryn give us an overview of the school and the children it serves, but she dug in and helped our group of volunteers cut over 60+ pads worth of fabric!

In 2024 we sent our first 400 pads to  girls in the Nicolas Robinson School.  The reusable pads we assemble in 2025 will also be sent there.  The Pad Project is part of the Essential Needs branch of Zharity. This program’s focus is to help young women who would otherwise not have access to feminine hygiene products and is possible only through our volunteer work and donations!
It is these types of important programs that our annual Zharity Raffle helps us continue to support.  Zharity does not receive any public funding, so one of the main ways we raise funds for our programs and operations is through our  raffle.

100% of the funds raised from our raffle will go toward supporting our 2025 programs in providing aid and essential items to those most in need.

Please take a moment to give a little by buying a ticket today  to win a prize and help us continue to grow our impact. You can also support us by spreading the word about our exciting raffle with your friends, colleagues, peers and family. Ticket sales close on April 7, 2025 so don’t miss out!  Tickets can be purchased HERE.
