Volunteer Team Members Needed
Join our team and help us continue to grow. We are looking for several volunteers to help us and to be part of a dedicated team of Zharity. We require each of these volunteers to be team members and these are long term volunteer opportunities and are located in the Zürich area.

Gold Coast Drop off Volunteer
6-10 hours a month (We are closed for collections all holidays)
We are looking for a volunteer located on the Gold Coast.
Respond to donors that would like to drop off donations
Coordinate with donors to find a quick turnaround time
Hold onto items for a couple of weeks (at most)
Coordinate to drop off items on Wednesday mornings in Dübendorf or coordinate with a volunteer driver to collect from your location
City Driver
4-8 hours a month
Zharity is looking for volunteer drivers that can help on a regular basis in the Zurich City area: You will need your own car, valid license and insurance. We also require a driver’s waiver form completed..
Pick-up from one or more of our donation sites.
Drop off at our unit in Dübendorf on Wednesday morning
Drop off items at community partners
Pick up from corporate partners
Participate in a event as the driver - Pick items up from our unit and attend event and bring items back to unit or partner organisation
Project Leads
We have many ideas for impactful projects to provide even more help to our community partners, but we need Project Leads to help bring these ideas to life.
4-10 hours monthly (depending on the project)
Project Leads are detail oriented people who will plan and lead existing or develop new Zharity projects - from planning to execution and managing the event on the day. Examples of projects that have required Project Leads in the past: community kit making events, Pad Project project development and the bi-annual material preparation and sewing events for the Pad Project.
Specific Needs:
Prior expertise in project planning.
Develop project concepts, timelines and an execution plan to ensure smooth events.
Ability to work with community partners or logistics partners depending upon the scope of the project
Collaborate with our social media team to market these events and plan follow ups post event.
Communication with our Board, our verein members and team members.
German Language is preferred but not required.
Corporate Partnerships Coordinator (2 people)
10-12 hours per month required during event seasons, on weekdays.
Corporate Partnership Coordinators will be hosting our corporate social responsibility events which comprise of our city clean ups and other activities.
Specific needs:
Lead corporate events for up to 30 corporate employees on weekdays during the spring, summer and fall
Coordinate corporate requests and support based on individual corporate needs
Grow our program to ensure more corporate employees are aware about Zharity and partner on our programs.
Support with social media posts, website updates, photo releases and other logistics and promotion work related to our corporate programs.
Ability to communicate in German and Swiss German is highly preferred.
Events Lead
4-10 hours monthly. Seasonal, based on event dates. Usually during summer, with some exceptions. Mostly during evenings and weekends.
Our Events Lead is a detail oriented person who will host our Zharity events, from planning to execution and managing the event on the day. (eg, logistics, purchase of food and beverages, photography, event activities.) These events include our General Assembly meeting, our summer and holiday parties and volunteer appreciation events.
Specific Needs:
Prior expertise in hosting team events and interest in hosting events at Zurich.
Develop event concepts, timelines and an execution plan to ensure smooth events.
Collaborate with our social media team to market these events and plan follow ups post event.
Communication with our Board, our verein members and team members.
German Language is preferred but not required.
