Bringing Warmth to Zürich: Zharity’s Winter Fundraiser Success

This winter, with the incredible support of our generous donors, Zharity brought much-needed warmth and care to those in need across Zürich. As temperatures dropped, our community came together to make a real difference through our December 2024 fundraiser.

The goal was simple yet impactful: to keep our fellow Zürchers warm and cared for during the coldest months of the year. For every 30 CHF raised, Zharity assembled a thoughtfully curated “gift package” containing essential items for warmth and comfort. Each package included:

• Warm socks to stave off the chill

• A cozy blanket for added comfort

• Lip balm to combat the harsh winter air

• Tissues for everyday needs

• A gift card to provide additional support

100 of these kits were distributed before the holiday break and the remaining 35+ will be distributed next week.  We are pleased to let you know that before the holidays - in addition to the 100 blanket sets, during our team holiday party we made 300+ snack kits  that were distributed to the same community partner. 

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, these packages were prepared and distributed to one of our trusted local partners, who ensured they reached members of the homeless community—those most vulnerable to the biting winter cold.

This initiative was a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when we come together with compassion and purpose. Every contribution, no matter the size, played a role in making this effort a success.

To all our donors, volunteers, and partners: thank you. You didn’t just donate money—you gave warmth, hope, and dignity to those who needed it most.
