Zharity Raffle Coordinator


For the past three years, Zharity has held a fundraising raffle. This raffle has been critical to our general support. In addition this raffle helps to engage more community members and bring more awareness to our work.  We are looking for an experienced fundraising coordinator that could take the lead and be the project manager on this project. Last year we were able to sell 250 tickets, received more than 20 donated raffle items and raised about CHF 7500.  


Our Raffle Coordinator would be responsible for:


  • Coordinate the agreed raffle schedule and plan 

  • Availability: approximately two hours a week during implementation period and 3-4 hours during the two weeks of the event. 

  • Coordinate raffle team members as well as coordinating with the finance and social media teams

  • Tasks include assigning members and/or doing portions on own: 

    • Soliciting raffle donors 

    • Developing template correspondence (German language skills are a plus for corresponding with potential corporate sponsors)

    • Develop advertising plan for the sale of raffle tickets as well as a plan for the promotion of donation sponsors

    • Coordinate the collection of prizes prior to the raffle

    • Coordinate raffle drawing and distribution of prizes to winners after the drawing


Generally most of this work occurs through the course of several months leading up to and the event itself.  There will be some planning work required beforehand.  The raffle will occur in March 2025. 

We are looking  for someone with fundraising/project management expertise, to be part of a dedicated team of the verein and someone that is looking at this as a long-term volunteer opportunity.  This volunteer position requires that this person be an official current or new member of our verein. We are also looking for someone that knows and supports the work of Zharity.
