1000 Essential Needs Kits to Head to Afghanistan
We’ve been busy! With the help of our amazing volunteers and team members, we’ve made 1000 kits to go to people in need in Afghanistan. Over two kit-making sessions, we made 1000 hygiene kits, which included essential items like toothbrushes, toothpaste and soap, as well as writing materials. The kits will be distributed to communities in Afghanistan by a local partner organization, Afghanistanhilfe, a group based in Switzerland that has been providing free aid to those in need since 1988.
Special thanks to:
All the community volunteers that stepped in to make the kits.
Lisa, Rebecca and Nicole for organizing the kit making sessions.
Lea for coordinating all the procurement of the items.
Behind the scenes thanks to Hannah, Vicky, Chiara and Misha.
The Okta team, who helped set up and start the kit-making process at our storage unit.
Our teammates that were able to attend: Alicia, Lisa, Giada, Lea, Rebecca, Stephanie, Rebeca, Kay and Nicoleta
GAiN Switzerland for delivering the kits.
