May 24 is Schweitzer Vorlesetag

Happy Schweitzer Vorlesetag! This is one of Zharity’s favorite days of the year. We love to read and we love to distribute books to our partner agencies.

Over the course of the year we have been able to distribute over 400 books to our partner agencies. We owe this accomplishment to the incredible generosity of our donors.  This past week - we were sure to go the extra mile and supplied extra books to some of our partner agencies, ensuring they had ample reading material for this special day.

We want to highlight one of our new partners: Bibliomonde. Bibliomonde is a community library located in Neuchatel, providing access to literature in all languages spoken within the community. In line with their current needs, we have provided them with additional Ukrainian/French language books. Moreover,we were able to extend our support by offering some funds to help them buy more books in other needed languages that are in high demand.

Even though Vorlesetag is one day a year - our agencies continually express their need for reading materials.
