Congratulations to Avis Nirds: Claudia, Hermina, Jennifer and Luca!

For the 2nd year in a row, we have sponsored the team in the Birdlife Switzerland Bird Race 2022. 85 teams spent 24 hours counting bird species throughout Switzerland. This year’s funds raised will go towards BirdLife Switzerland's "100 natural jewels" anniversary project. The aim of the project is to create or enhance at least 100 valuable habitats for biodiversity - 100 pearls that together form a whole mosaic of natural jewels.

Zharity is thrilled to congratulate Avis Nirds as they came in 33rd of 85 teams! And a special congratulations to the team for spotting a Black-winged Kite. In total they spotted 100 species of birds. How appropriate: 100 birds for BirdLife Switzerland’s 100th year!

Stay tuned in the Spring, Hermina (Avis Nirds member, former Zharity President and environmental educator) will be leading us through another amazing bird workshop. And this time there will be opportunities for children and adults!!!
