BRAvo to helping women in Nigeria

In March, one of Zharity ‘s long standing partner agencies, requested our help as they sought to re-home over 250kg of gently (and not so gently) loved clothing. Claudia, our collections coordinator, managed to sort and send these items to various agencies across Europe. The men’s clothes went to Swiss agencies that help homeless men. The women’s clothing went to a group that sends clothing donations to Eastern Europe and even more is headed to Hungary by the end of May.  Among all of the donated clothes, we found lots and lots of bras. That is when we turned to local shop owner, Anna-Maree Stephens. She owns an online bra store, Bratique. She collects donated bras for a program in Nigeria, called Soutien Girls. We are happy to say that the 2.3kg of bras we sorted will support these women in need, in more ways than one!
