Zharity Earth's Explorers club: Butterfly garden

This week we planted a butterfly garden with wild flowers, it will surely keep our wild bees happy and all other visiting insects alike. For human consumers, we created a tea garden and a hectic one with strawberries, carrots and sunflowers. The kids learned that gardening is an actual job, that's sometime boring and sometimes hard, but rewarding nevertheless.

After they went on a bug hunt, drew the creatures in their journals and jotted down a few sentences about them. We talked a little bit about frogs and tadpoles in anticipation of next week's amphibian walk. To top it all off we even saw a snake! Which was actually a legless lizard, still a reptile, so it definitely counts!

Thank you all for all your hard work! Join us next week for more exploring! You can find more info and dates on the Events page.
